Now that 2019 is coming to an end, we would like to look back on 12 eventful, successful and enjoyable months.

Growth was one of the things that kept us busy in 2019 and it looks like it will continue to keep us busy in 2020. The team more than doubled in size this year and consists of 16 innovative and unique Team members now. The office however did not grow and at the moment some of our desks are reassigned on a daily basis. These are the pain points of our growth but they will soon go away with our office expansion early 2020. Our office space then will be twice its current size which will not only alleviate desk space scarcity but we will have space for meetings and even a cozy comfort space.

2019 was a dynamic year as were we! We visited our customers and companies we would like to welcome as customers in the future. We went to exhibitions, fairs and events in six different countries 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 🇳🇱 🇫🇮 🇦🇹 🇺🇸 (Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, USA) to present Conntac and our Conntac Self-Service Solution. We also joined industry associations and worked with them. All in all, we took part in quite a number of events in 2019. Listing them all would probably be too much but some of the ones that stood out were the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where the mobile industry meets every year. The Bits and Pretzels startup event also left a lasting impression with a guest appearance of Barack Obama. Finally, we participated again in Augsburg’s Hackerkiste, a local hackathon which we proudly take part in every year since its inception. Another big thing happened in 2019 where we invested a lot of blood, sweat and tears: our website at was completely redone. It now has a clearer structure, is completely customer-focussed and presents itself in a shiny new design. We also added another translation. Now you can not only experience Conntac in German and English, but also in Spanish.

Presentations on events and our new website were only two of three publicity and dissemination activities. The two are completed by our new social media strategy. Everything noteworthy that happens is posted on various channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Xing and Twitter. So nobody needs to wait for our yearly review blog post. In 2019 we posted 42 times on social media, because so many things were going on and this, too, is something that will not likely change in 2020. One of our last posts was about the “Quality – Made in Augsburg” award ceremony. It is nice to know that we are being recognized in the place we call home.

Our main focus of course is and always will be the Conntac Self-Service Solution, which really makes us proud. To emphasize one of our released Apps, the o2 DSL Help App powered by Conntac has an App Store and Google Play Store rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars and is the best rated self-service provider solution in Germany. Thanks to all users that rated the app. The feedback we get reinforces our believe that self-service is the ultimate form of customer service. In this way we want to thank all of our customers and partners for the great collaboration and the trust in Conntac.

We saved the best for last, which is the Conntac-Team! For one day, we locked ourselves in and had a day-long team workshop which was accompanied by a professional coach. We discussed the current situation and made room for everyone to express their opinions and together we planned Conntac’s future. The overall result was great and we worked up many new concepts to push Conntac in 2020 forward as well. At the Riegele Brauhaus we celebrated our efforts at a great location and faded out the year.

With this, our well-deserved christmas break starts. We wish you all a merry Christmas, a happy New Year and a successful 2020.
