The team of the Augsburg-based startup Conntac received two competition awards in one month in March. At CeBIT in Hanover, the IT company won the “Founders’ Competition – Digital Innovations” organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. Brigitte Zypries, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, presented the founders with the award, which includes an intensive coaching and mentoring package. Conntac was able to prevail among more than 300 teams in the competition.
Conntac also received an award at the Businessplan-Wettbewerb Schwaben of BayStartUP. The Augsburg-based company was awarded second place for its business idea and implementation plan.
Intelligent dialogue and help for self-help
Conntac has developed an app-based analysis software that makes it easier for telecom providers to contact their customers in the event of faults. The app measures data on bandwidth and router configuration, among other things. In an intelligent dialog with customers, simple technical questions are clarified and the individual situation is analyzed. The software also provides help for self-help. Only when this process is complete and the problem persists is the telecommunications provider’s customer service department called in. This should significantly reduce the number of inquiries.
“We are very pleased about this double recognition. It is a good sign that we are on the right track with our product idea and business model,” explains Dr. Michael Faath, one of Conntac’s two managing directors. The founding team also includes Christoph Keller, Benjamin Wöhrl and Prof. Dr. Rolf Winter.
