What really makes for a good working environment? Titles, benefits or nice words on career pages only provide a limited answer. It becomes meaningful where people evaluate their everyday working life themselves.

Culture is not reflected in slogans, but in everyday life

If you want to know how we work, all you have to do is witness one of our days. Replacing the portafilter machine in the morning is a good starting point. Small ideas often arise between frothing milk and espresso beans, which later shape major projects. And sometimes people just laugh there – because trust and ease are just as much a part of good collaboration as structure and focus. This also includes lunch pizza, which regularly makes its way to our office for company meetings. Just like the short mystery walks in the area, spontaneous UX tests or the after-work discussion, which sometimes takes longer than planned. These moments are not an end in themselves, but create closeness, openness and a space for honest feedback.

Remote? office? Both – and in the way that makes sense

For many at Conntac, flexibility is not a bonus, but a prerequisite for good work. We combine office presence with the freedom to work remotely or temporarily work. We have deliberately decided against rigid models and instead rely on responsibility, clarity and mutual trust.

It is precisely this mix that makes our collaboration so lively. Anyone who is in the office enjoys direct contact. Anyone who works remotely remains seamlessly integrated through clear processes and regular coordination. And everyone benefits from the monthly company meeting or the two-week Sprint Result Demos, in which progress is visible, decisions are comprehensible and challenges are discussed together.

Offsite, Plärrer and meet-the-team: our culture is visible

For example, our Offsite 2025 in the Altmühltal Nature Park was particularly beautiful. A day away from everyday life, experience something together, sit together and talk in the evening. Moments like this create an understanding for each other that you can't plan – it happens when people spend time together.

There are also other highlights such as a visit to Plärrer in Augsburg or our Meet-the-team posts. Colleagues present themselves as they are: open, motivated, human. All of these formats have one thing in common: They make collaboration transparent and provide space for personality.

Visible culture is created through shared responsibility

The Top Company seal is based on criteria such as rating average, number of reviews and feedback from the last twelve months. But these figures are only the surface. Behind this is a team that treats each other with respect, communicates openly and wants to learn together.

We therefore see the seal as an encouragement, but also as an obligation to develop further. Culture is not something closed off. It changes with the people who wear it. And that is exactly what makes them alive.
