The Open Working Group Day brings together various BREKO working groups in Bonn for a collaborative exchange. The focus is on current developments and specific challenges in the fiber optic industry – ranging from market regulation, gigabit funding, and economic viability to marketing, data centers, and cybersecurity.

Following presentations on the BREKO Market Analysis 2026 and the plans of the Federal Network Agency, parallel breakout sessions will dive deeper into key practical issues. These include, among others, more efficient expansion processes, cost savings, in-house deployment, communication campaigns, and new sales approaches.
